Pink Floyd: The Story of Wish You Were Here (2012) - Deux ans après le succès de leur album de 1973 The dark side of the Moon, les membres des Pink Floyd – Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Richard Wright et Nick Mason – se retrouvent aux mythiques studios d’Abbey Road pour enregistrer leur prochain opus. Pièce maîtresse de ce nouvel album-concept, le long morceau en neuf parties "Shine on you crazy diamond", consacré à Syd Barrett, membre fondateur et génie torturé, qui dut quitter le groupe en 1968. Dès sa sortie, Wish you were here se hisse en tête des charts anglais et américains. Ce film revient sur la genèse de l’album et sur les sessions d’enregistrement, qui ne furent pas de tout repos. Des interviews exceptionnelles de Roger Waters, David Gilmour et Nick Mason, et de leurs collaborateurs – comme Storm Thorgerson, concepteur de la pochette – sont complétées d’archives, notamment un entretien avec Richard Wright, décédé en 2008.
